Frequently Asked Questions

  1. FleetXchange knows the answer to hundreds of fleet-related questions. And this number is growing every day, with every new member.

To ask a question of our knowledge bank, just type the text of your question into our AnswerXchange box and click Ask. (For best results, phrase your question as a complete sentence.) We'll search our online knowledge bank and immediately return similar questions to which we know the answers. These answers are often links to articles, discussions between experienced fleet pros, helpful resources on suppliers' sites, and other trucking resources on the web. Click on these links to see the answer.

If you are not satisfied with the answers provided, you can send your question out to our Community of Experts by simply clicking Send Question to Other Fleet Pros. FleetXchange displays a page that lets you add more details to your question so we can email it to the appropriate experts.

Questions sent to the community are also posted on the Question Board, available for any FleetXchange member to answer.

  2. Through an alliance with AmeriQuest Transportation and Logistics Resources, one of the nation's largest purchasers of class 6-8 trucks (over 81,000 power units), FleetXchange offers an online purchasing program designed to save you up to 15% on your fleet-related purchases.

In addition to preferred pricing and rebates based on community volume, FleetXchange's purchasing program saves you time and effort by providing a Web-based order and purchase history tracking system, all at no cost to your organization. Best of all, our Purchasing Program does not require you to commit to specific volume targets or large drop-order shipments.

The initial stage of the Purchasing Program includes tires, retreads, lubricants, and batteries. In the coming months, the ability to purchase other parts, services, and even trucks--all at preferred pricing levels--will continue to grow.

  3. On FleetXchange, you can share your fleet experience and expertise a number of different ways.

To start earning money for reviews, click the red banner that says "Click here to start cashing in," on the top right corner of your homepage. Choose the products you want to review and then follow the simple directions to complete the ratings/reviews process.

For your efforts, FleetXchange will pay you $2 per review in $10 increments with PayPal funds. You will also be eligible to for our "Best Review" competition each week, the winner of which receives another $15 in PayPal funds.

By answering questions, asking questions, rating and reviewing products and services, and commenting on discussion topics, you automatically become eligible to win.

Each week, the editors at FleetXchange select winners to receive a $15 gift in PayPal funds for one of the following contests:

    • Best Answer (awarded every Tuesday)
Criteria: An intelligent response that comprehensively addresses the original question and provides a clear solution based on fact or personal experience.

In addition, FleetXchange runs a daily trivia contest called "FleetCompete," which appears on the right side of your homepage. At the end of each week, the top FleetCompetitor wins a $20 gift in PayPal funds (prize amounts may be smaller if there are multiple winners).

  6. Voice my opinion?            Top of Page
FleetXchange offers you plenty of opportunities to voice your opinions about the fleet-related issues that matter to you most. One way to make yourself heard is to comment on the discussion topics that we post everyday. You can also look through our archives of previous topics and comment on them. FleetXchange editors often reactivate previous topics, bringing them back to the discussion topics page for others to see.

In addition, you can suggest a topic of discussion or provide direct feedback to the editors at FleetXchange about what you really like or dislike about the site or any changes that you'd like to see.

You can also express your opinion by rating and reviewing truck parts and services, helping to create the industry's only vendor-neutral product review resource.

  7. Simply ask our community a question and, if appropriate, we'll forward your question on to the suppliers in the community who are most likely to have the information you're looking for. If the supplier you want an answer from is not part of our community, we'll try to contact the supplier directly with your question.

  8. There are a few different ways that you can customize FleetXchange to suit your interests and more conveniently access the sources of information that you use regularly. For example, you can specify what content you want to appear on your homepage, e.g.-- discussion topics, AnswerXchange, ratings and reviews--and the order in which that content appears on the page. To do this, click the Personalize link, which appears on the upper left side of your homepage, and follow the simple directions.

You can also use FleetXchange's "My Fleet Links" feature to place some of your favorite links--both links to external sites and to pages on the site--on your homepage for easy access. Anywhere you see the "Add to My Fleet Links" option--such as on the Fleet Links or the Directories pages--simply click the "Add to My Fleet Links" graphic. The link you selected will now appear on the left side of your FleetXchange Home Page, under "My Fleet Links".
